The 19th century, fully renovated villa is the only one of its kind in the Rebecca in Sardinia portfolio. In the hills between Cagliari and the south east coast, San Gregorio One is in a world of its own.
Wrought iron gates and a high stone wall open to a large garden and the country villa.
The house was recently renovated by the renowned Italian architect, Gaetano Lixi. Each handmade terracotta tile was removed and relaid, and the property retained its extraordinary character, with all modern comforts.
Steps lead to the entrance, and a reception room with a large fireplace and comfortable sofas, a separate dining room and reading room. Large terraces and outdoor dining areas are easily accessed, with views over the garden and surrounding hills.
The bedrooms are spacious and charming, each with an en-suite bathroom. A large living area between the bedrooms on the first floor, has sofas, armchairs, a television and relaxation areas. All décor and amenities are of the highest standard and taste.
The grounds are extensive, and include a hill, an allotment with fresh vegetables and herbs, cypress, fig, cherry, apricot and other fruit trees, ancient wisteria, and many paths leading around the private, well-kept land.
The estate is located near the mountains of the Sette Fratelli, and just a 30 minute drive from the most stunning beaches and coastline of southern Sardinia
