Founder of Rebecca in Sardinia
Rebecca Lewis Lalatta was born and educated in the UK, studying flute and piano at the Royal College of Music in London and reading Psychology at Edinburgh University. She first visited Sardinia in 1995 and immediately fell for the island’s golden lifestyle, relocating there, raising two sons and working in education and hospitality. Away from work, her passions include classical music and horses. Rebecca is an accomplished musician and with her flute, regularly performs with the Carabinieri Bands from Rome, Milan and Naples, among Europe’s most famous musical groups. Her experience in the equestrian world led to the honour of meeting Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 2012 when, as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Rebecca was responsible for bringing a team of horses and riders from the Carabinieri Mounted Regiment in Rome to the Royal Windsor Horse Show. They joined in a dramatic display involving 900 horses.
Rebecca says:
“I love welcoming guests to Sardinia and showing them the intensity of beauty here, the culture, food, wine and exceptional nature. My knowledge and network, accrued over the years, is the strength of my business and something I look forward to sharing with our clients, so that they understand and join in with my love of this spectacular Blue Zone region. Sardinia is a most exceptional microcosm of Italy. Benvenuti!”
